Simon Portus
Simon Portus is an editor, writer, and a director who have multi-award winning films that have screened around the world. Simon’s first short film, Adrift, premiered at the Sydney Film Festival Dendy Awards. His next one, Tomorrow, landed its world premiere at Berlin Film Festival and won Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor at St Kilda Film Festival. In addition, the film was also nominated for Australian Writers Guild and Australian Directors Guild awards. His latest short film, Passengers, had its world premiere at Flickerfest Film Festival in Sydney in January, 2017. It was selected to screen at Melbourne International Film Festival in August, 2017, where Simon will take part in the MIFF Accelerator Lab.
