Walid Tayaa

Walid Tayaa is a Tunisian filmmaker who was born in Tunis in 1976. In 2006, he directed his first short film, MADAME BAHJA, selected at the Cannes Film Festival in the “World Cinema” section. In 2009, he made two short films, PRESTIGE (screened at La Berlinale 2010) and VIVRE, awarded the Grand Prize at the 16th Festival du Film Méditerranéen in Tétouan and the Tanit d’Or at the JCC 2010. In 2012, he made two more short films, BOULITIK and CHRONIQUE D’UN CITOYEN ORDINAIRE, and developed a documentary TANGLED IN IMBROGLIO, supported by AFAC.
