Amro Ali was born in Damascus, Syria. He graduated from High Cinema Institute in Cairo, Egypt 2016. His short film “Coma” has won four international awards, including Best Short Film Award at Malmö Arab Film Festival and Rotterdam Arab Film Festival. In addition, he worked as an assistant director and second unit director in several TV series, including "Orkedia", "Al-Mohalab" and "Haramlek". Amro Ali has wrote several mini TV series including “Sahar” and “A Trick”, and he has also directed several documentaries as well as many short and med-length films including "8mm", "Birthday", "Coma", "Awakening", and “The Visit”.
