Tunisian short film TRINOU joins Show Me Shorts Film Festival in New Zealand

Tunisian short film TRINOU by Nejib Kthiri joins Show Me Shorts Film Festival in New Zealand (7 – 30 October), in which it competes in the festival’s official competition which is one of the Academy Awards-eligible festivals.
 
The film tells the story of a young boy escapes his failing body and secluded life by travelling in dreams, which he created from magazines his mother used to give him. When his step-father urges his wife to change her approach towards her son and stop giving him magazines, both mother, and son take an important and life-changing step.
 
The film world premiered at LA International Film Festival and was among the official selections in the international short film competition. It also competed in DokuFest International Festival for Documentaries.
 
The film is written and directed by Nejib Kthiri and starring Mohamed Grayaa, Max Pemberton, Kaouther Dhaouedi and Eleanor Crowe. It is co-produced by Seventh age pictures limited and SVP Tunisia and distributed in the Arab world by MAD solutions.
 
Nejib Kthiri is a Tunisian director, screenwriter and musician living in London, UK. He studied music and sound engineering in West London University in 2011, then specialised in cinematography. He is currently in the development stages of his debut feature film.
