Rahma Benhamou El Madani
Born in Algeria to Moroccan parents, Rahma Benhamou El Madani is a screenwriter and director. At the age of 6, she moved with her family to France. She studied Linguistic Science at the Bordeaux Montaigne University. El Madani worked at a local radio in Bordeaux for more than 5 years. After obtaining her certificate in Modern Letters from the University of Lille in 1993, she worked at a radio school as a supervisor of college students in radio and video. After she completed her training courses in cinematography, directing actors and acting techniques, she started her own production house Plein Cadres in 1996. In 2005, El Madani moved to Paris and obtained the Master Pro Cinema in 2008 and the Master Cinema Research in 2009 from the Pantheon-Sorbonne University (Paris I). Her filmography includes the documentaries Tais Toi Et Parle (1999), Du Cote De Chez Soi (Where Home Is) (2003), Je Suis Sur La Route (I'm On The Road) (2005), Je Suis Chez Moi (2007) and the short fiction Plus Fort Que Tout Le Reste (2005).
