Yaser Al Neyadi
Emirati director Yaser Al Neyadi graduated with a BA in Mass Communication TV and Radio Production and Film Studies from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). He works at the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority. He wrote and directed many short films that took part in local, Arab and international festivals. He won several awards, the last of which was the award for Best Director at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) for his short film Shrimp. He took part in 15 plays as an actor, the most recent of which was his collaboration with French theater director Marcel Bozonnet on a contemporary theatrical performance as a joint cultural project between the UAE and France. As for TV, Yaser acted in numerous TV dramas. He also worked as a TV presenter on Sabah Al Dar and Shababna, both of which aired on Abu Dhabi TV, and focused on topics pertaining to arts in general cinema in particular.
