Based in Tripoli, North Lebanon, Yahya Mourad is a Lebanese filmmaker, director, and cinematographer. Yahya has been taking part in a number of national, regional and international festivals and workshops, with his startup short docufiction Belonging: Tripoli. Since graduating in 2015, he has been working on a range of personal and professional projects, including short experimental documentaries, commercials, music videos, and weddings. Yahya always tries to create the visual language that reflects the spirit of the people or places he captures. Despite the diversity of the projects, he always stays truthful to what each demands, while adding his own touch and signature to the project. His latest film is the short experimental documentary Sunday Market: Tripoli (2018).
