With an impressive career that spans over 27 years, director Kamla Abouzekri started her career as an assistant director in the films 131 Hard Labor (1993) and Why the Sea is Laughing (1995). She directed her first short film The Six O'Clock Train in 1999. Abouzekri made her feature directorial debut with the rom-com First Year Con in 2004. Her filmography includes the films One-Zero (2009), which competed at many international film festivals such as the Venice International Film Festival and received more than 45 awards, Heads and Tails (2006), An Al Eshq Wal Hawa
