Alaa Mosbah is an Egyptian filmmaker and author. He was a Ful-bright grantee at Columbia College Chicago in 2017. Mosbah produced and directed many TV documentaries. He was the line producer/second unit director of What Comes Around that premiered at the Berlinale Panorama in 2018. His short film Tariq was selected at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival 2012. Mosbah received the International Critics Jury Prize (FIPRESCI) at the 2012 Oberhausen International Short Film Festival for his short film Café Regular, Cairo, produced by him and directed by Ritesh Batra.
