Ahmed Festok was Born in Aleppo, Syria (1990). After the beginning of the Syrian war in 2011 he traveled to Egypt to study at the High Cinema Institute in Cairo, and he graduated In 2016 as a Film Director. His first film, Stray (2015) was part of the Carthage Film Festival’s official documentary competition and his graduation project Above (2017) has won the Best Short Film prize at Egyptian National Film Festival. He worked as an assistant director in several TV series as well.
