Ahmed Hassouna is a Palestinian director. After receiving a degree in Journalism at Al-Azhar University in Gaza, he started a career in filmmaking. His repertoire includes several award-winning documentaries that received notable awards including the Al-Jazeera Award in 2013. Istrupya marks the director's first feature film and won the Special Jury Award at the Alexandria Festival for the Mediterranean countries.
