Nejib Belkadhi
Born in Tunisia, Najib began his acting career after studying Business and Marketing. He then started his first steps as a director on Television at Canal + Horizons in 1999.
In 2002, he founded Propaganda Productions with his friend Imed Marzouk, who later became his producer. Then, in 2005, he directed his first short fiction film TSAWER. The film was selected for more than 30 festivals across 11 countries.
After that, in 2006, his documentary VHS-KAHLOUCHA was featured in more than 50 festivals, including a world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and a selection in the Official Competition of the Sundance Film Festival and FID Marseille. The film went on to win seven awards across different festivals.
In 2013, his first feature film BASTARDO world premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was selected for the Official Competition at CINEMED Montpellier in 2014. Thirty festivals later, the film won 11 international awards.
Finally, in 2014, he released his second feature documentary 71â„2, which was shot three years earlier before the first free elections in Tunisia.
