Maysaa Almumin was born in Kuwait and is currently living and working as an assistant professor in design in Qatar.
She grew up in London, starting out as an architect before moving back to Kuwait then Qatar where she started, acting and scriptwriting and eventually filmmaking.
She has had acting training with directors/ filmmakers/academics Scandar Copti and Daniel Suissa and has been involved in film projects in Kuwait and Italy.
Her repertoire includes the short films J'AI LE CAFARD, MUSING IN THE DESERT, and AND I WAS LEFT BEHIND.
