Haidar Samir
Born in Dhahran, Haidar Samir is a Saudi scriptwriter and director who came from a family of artists as his father is actor Samir Al Nassir. His passion for acting began at an early age. While studying at university in Amman, Jordan, he wrote his first play that he also directed. After university, he kick started his career with a number of short films, radio plays and feature films, including After Thursday, Bilal The Sixth and Le’bet Al Kobar, which were commercially successful. Haidar received Best Director award at Saudi Film Festival for his film Shatarang and Excellence award at Prince Khaled Al-Faisal Festival. He also, wrote the series Anaked, which aired on MBC.
