Since an early age, director Ali Basaeed has always had a passion for cinema. To pursue a career in filmmaking, he joined various workshops, some of which were held by the Ministry of Culture in Saudi Arabia. He kicked-off his filmmaking career in 2005 with his film WITHOUT SUGAR. Prior to directing his latest short film, THE CASTING, he dabbled in commercial advertising and wrote several projects that are still in the works.
