Remi Itani is a Lebanese writer and director who is currently based in Lebanon. She participated in numerous writing and film workshops, including one with Werner Herzog in Cuba.
She started out her career by directing feature documentaries for the Al Jazeera documentary channel. Then, in 2016, her short film Nazha was featured on BBC Arabic TV’s Alternative Cinema Program and was awarded the 2016 Prix du Jury Prize at the Tetouan International Film Festival.
Most recently, she made her debut feature documentary A LONG BREATH, which was officially selected for the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam.
