Nassim has produced several film projects since his return to Morocco in 2005. His feature film MAJID won the Best Screenplay Award at the National Moroccan Film Festival, the Best Feature Film Award at the International Film Festival for Children & Youth in Tunisia, and received a Special Mention from the jury of the Cinekid International Film Festival in Amsterdam.
MAJID had its world premiere at the Dubai International Film Festival and took part in 30 other worldwide film festivals where it collected 10 international prizes.

MY UNCLE, his fourth feature film as a screenwriter and film director, was released in 2017 and had its World Premiere at the prestigious International Film Festival of Marrakech.
The film starred Moroccan comedy legend Abderraouf, who won a Lifetime Achievement Award thanks to this film at that same film festival.
MY UNCLE took part afterward in several film festivals and was shown several times on Moroccan TV and other TV channels in the Arab world. It is also one of the rare Moroccan films to be dubbed in Chinese and shown on a Chinese film channel.
Nassim Abassi is currently working on several film and TV projects which are at different stages of development.
Nassim Abassi lived for 16 years in the UK where he studied for a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Film & Video. He worked there for a few years at a post-production company and shot several short films in London.
He also shot his first feature film in London, THE WINTER SUN IS A LIE, which he wrote and directed.
This low-budget English film won the Award for Best Feature Film at the International Digital Film Festival in New Delhi in 2005.
