After finishing his diploma in Mass Media Communications, Omar Aly began his filmmaking career by enrolling in an advanced editing and color-grading course, believing that if he wanted to become a proficient director, he should first learn how to become a good editor.
He then worked on many projects in different phases, moving up to the production process itself, doing some camerawork, and assistant-directing educational programs.
Finally, driven by the success he had achieved so far, Omar decided to make his first short film, BLACK RAINBOW.
