Ahmad Hamada

Ahmad Hamada is a distinguished media scholar and faculty member at Kuwait University. With extensive experience in the field, he excels as an author, filmmaker, producer, writer, and editor of creative content.
Known for his passion for cultural interactions, Ahmad's work is research-oriented and reflects his dedication to academic pursuits.
Hamada holds a bachelor of arts in mass communication. He then furthered his education by aquiring a master of arts in journalism from Indiana University in May 2011.
He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mass Communication at Kuwait University.
Prior to his academic career, Hamada gained valuable industry experience as a financial reporter at CNBC Arabiya's Kuwait branch from June 2007 to April 2008. He also served as a PR Executive at EQUATE Petrochemical Company from April 2008 to July 2008.
Additionally, Ahmad has been a format editor at Al-Wattan Television Station since July 2008. In addition to his academic and professional roles, Ahmad frequently undertakes freelance projects as a filmmaker, producer, writer, and editor.
Noteworthy among these projects are his collaborations with Kuwait Television, where he served as executive producer, co-director, and editor for the one-hour documentary WE, THE MUSIC, which explored cultural and musical fusions.
He also worked on THE KUWAITI, a short documentary highlighting a Scottish prisoner of war in Kuwait; and THE MARGIN, a documentary shedding light on mosques in the US.
Hamada's upcoming projects include SEARCHING FOR THE TASTE OF THE EAST, a one-hour documentary exploring Arabic restaurants and restaurateurs in the US; and THE SIDELINE, an 18-episode talk show examining the intersection of football and culture that he is executive producing.
