Areeb Zuaiter

Areeb Zuaiter, an independent filmmaker and advocate for emerging voices, was nominated for Sony's Outstanding Thesis Award.
She has two shorts to her name, including STAINED, which won the Jury Prize at the European Film Festival in Beirut, and the multi-award winning short documentary COLORS OF RESISTANCE.
Throughout her career, she assumed various positions, including being a Goldman Sachs Fellow at the Smithsonian and a Technology Associate at the Associated Press. She also headed the Regional Training Department at the Royal Film Commission in Jordan and taught at multiple universities in Washington, DC.
Zuaiter currently heads the Programming Department at the Amman International Film Festival and is working on her debut feature documentary.
