Hailing from Algeria, Imene Ayadi was born to filmmaker parents. At the age of 17, she traveled to Nice, France, to study filmmaking at the Higher School of Audiovisual Production.
Soon after her graduation, she worked as an assistant director on many short films, documentaries, and series.
Then, in 2019, she directed her first short film THE OLD KALBELOUZ with Ahmed Benaïssa in the main role.
