Jafra Younes, An award-winning Syrian actress, director and producer, a graduate of the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus, Acting Department.
trained as an online student at Stella Adler’s Studio (The Art of Acting Studio) in Los Angeles, California.
The actress was a jury member at the semi-final round of judging event for the 2022 International Emmy Awards.
She received the Best Actress award at the London Independent Film Festival Awards in 2022 ,And the best actress award in 2018 at Delhi’s International Film Festival, and the Certificate of Appreciation and a Shield of Excellence and Creativity from the Cairo Radio and Television Festival in 1999.
She also won the title of Best New Face in 2016 in the voting of many local platforms and radio stations.
The actress started working in television from the young age of nine in (1999), and went on to receive intensive training in acting and theatrical skills for 5 consecutive years with some of the most prominent Syrian actors in Teatro Institute for Performing Arts in Damascus, from 2003 to 2005.
She made her first short films at the age of 17 in and after almost two decades of working as an actress she decided to follow her dream of becoming a filmmaker.
