Mohamed Chrif Tribak
Mohamed Chrif Tribak, was born in Larache in 1971. His passion for filmmaking led him to pursue training at the Federation of Film Clubs in Morocco, where he honed his skills. To further enhance his craft, Tribak embarked on an internship at La Fémis in Paris, gaining invaluable experience in the industry.
Throughout his career, Tribak has directed an impressive portfolio comprising five short films and seven television movies for esteemed broadcasters like 2M and SNRT.
His directorial prowess was recognized early on when his second feature film, THE TIME OF COMRADES (2008), garnered multiple awards, including the Grand Ousmane Sembene Prize at the Khouribga African Film Festival and the First Work Prize at the National Film Festival in Tangier.
Tribak's latest feature film, LITTLE PLEASURES , further solidified his reputation as a talented director. The film garnered numerous awards, including the Best Feature Film Prize at the Regard sur le cinéma du Monde Festival in Paris, and the Special Jury Prize, Best Director Prize, and Best Female Role Prize at the Oujda Maghrebian Film Festival.
In addition to his feature films, Tribak has showcased his talent through a series of notable short films.
These include LOVE LETTER, 30 YEARS, MAWAL, THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL, ATLANTIC BALCONY, which won the Best Direction and Critic's Award at the National Cinema Festival in Oujda and was selected for the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival.
