Hind Meddeb

Born in 1978, Hind Meddeb grew up between France, Morocco and Tunisia, her two countries of origin. By moving in this way between cultures and languages, she has developed a particular view of the world. In her documentary films, she observes all forms of resistance to the established order by filming from the side of those who rebel.
In her approach to the Arab and African worlds, she tries to dispel the prejudices that continue to block western thinking. Between 2011 and 2013,during the Arab Spring, she made ""Tunisia Clash"" and ""Electro Chaabi"", two documentary features around musical creation as a revolutionary act. Her most recent film, ""Paris Stalingrad"" (2021), tells the journey of Souleymane, a young Sudanese poet who escaped the Darfur genocide and who arrives in Paris. She is currently working on her new film, ""Sudan, remember us"" , an in-depth portrait of young people seeking to win their freedom.
