Nada Khalifa is a Palestinian filmmaker born in Gaza whose early life was profoundly shaped by the realities of living under occupation. After the 2008 war in Gaza, she moved to the West Bank, driven by a deep desire to tell the untold stories of her homeland.
Nada’s early filmmaking journey was supported by Shashat Women’s Cinema in Palestine, an organization that nurtured her talent and helped her take her first steps as a filmmaker. She currently serves as a board member.
In 2020, Nada relocated to Poland to pursue a BA in Film Directing at the Warsaw Film School. This move opened up opportunities and freedoms often unavailable in Palestine, significantly shaping her perspective as both a person and a filmmaker.
Nada now works at Ogz Studios, a hybrid production house with bases in Riyadh, Poland, and Egypt. This role allows her to balance her independent filmmaking vision with a collaborative environment that connects diverse cultures and stories. Living between Riyadh and Warsaw, she continually seeks creative ways to bridge her Palestinian roots with her evolving global outlook.
Her most recent film was shot in Palestine on the first day of the ongoing conflict, during which she found herself trapped, unable to leave. This harrowing experience reignited her resolve to share the broader story of Palestine with the world.
Nada’s work explores themes of social injustice, resilience, and the unyielding human spirit, striving to bring untold narratives to the forefront of global cinema
