Born in Morocco, Farid Lakkimi was a film buff from a young age, which made him study filmmaking and become a filmmaker. He has a bachelor’s degree in Arts at the University Lumière Lyon 2 and a Master’s degree in Film studies, specializing in screenwriting, at the University Libre in Brussels, Belgium. To master the world of directing, production, photography and screenwriting, he experienced working in different fields of film industry. Moreover, in 2009, he became a member of the Moroccan Center for Cinematography. He founded two production companies: Sadden Production in 2010 and Obscura Entertainment in 2013.
