Yasmine Chouikh
Yasmine Chouikh is an Algerian writer and filmmaker. In 1990, she took part in a TV film by director Djamel Bendedouch, followed by Hamlet of Women by Mohamed Chouikh in 2004. She has written many articles for the culture pages of the daily newspaper, L'Authentique, and has been presenting a cinematographic television programme on the National Algerian Radio since 2005. She has written several short film scripts and directed the two films El Bab (The Door) and The Djinn. She is the Artistic Director of the International Taghit Short Film Festival and has been in charge of short films at the Oran International Arabic Film Festival.
