The German-Italian Film director, Screenwriter and Producer, Silvana Santamaria, since 2013, has been one of the co-founders of the film production company SOILFILMS where she successfully writes, directs and produces fiction- and documentary features. Furthermore, she has a rich professional and academic background. After her studies of film directing at the famous Film Academy Baden-Württember in 2010, she directed the award winning short film “Her letter for his wedding”, with the renowned actors Corinna Harfouch and Sylvester Groth. She won important national and international awards for her films like Max Ophüls Prize, Young European CIVIS Media Prize…etc. Additionally, her films were screened in many prestigious festivals, including San Sebastian Film Festival and Shanghai Film Festival and presented in Co-production markets in La Biennale di Venezia and BFI London.
