The story is about landmines and their impact on lives. It follows a Canadian/Iraqi graffiti artist who goes to Yemen amidst the heated conflict. He meets with the demining teams, local artists and the community to create “moments” of relief. The graffiti are reflections of the artist’s and the community’s experiences during this obscurely pivotal point in history. Children unfazed by the daily risks of an exploding landmine, observe the new art, struggling families gossip about the foreign visitors and the new colors they brought to town. Ambivalent emotions and challenges create a tone of hope and an authentic documentation of the threats of land mines and power of dialogue.
