MAD Solutions presents Ihsen Kammoun’s ROAD TO EL KEF’s nomination journey

Ihsen Kammoun’s ROAD TO EL KEF  may have been nominated for Best Fiction Short in several international festivals, however, the film’s nomination journey in 2022 is far from over.
 
ROAD TO EL KEF held its Arab world premiere at the 2022 Carthage Film Festival (JCC), where it was officially selected for the Horizon of Tuinisian Cinema Screenings. It is also expected to feature in the Rabat International Author Film Festival
 
Additionally, it was nominated for the Grand Prix at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and screened at the Festival Les Nuits Méditerranéennes, where it was nominated for the Jury Prize.
 
Furthermore, the movie is set to hold its US premiere and compete for Best Fiction Short Award at the Arab Film Festival in the presence of its director. 
 
Additionally, the film had its Canadian premiere at the Mena Film Festival in partnership with Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) where the director was present. 
 
It was also featured at the Arab Film Festival that was held at the Arab American Museum and the Montecatini International Short Film Festival in Italy, where it was among the official selections. Moreover, it is scheduled to compete in the International Short Film Competition Program at the 51st Molodist Kyiv International Film Festivalthe largest international cinema festival in Ukraine – despite the war challenges that are currently occurring

ROAD TO EL KEF was directed by Ihsen Kammoun, written by Charles Hall and the music composer is Suad Bushnaq. The film stars the award-winning Tunisian actor Ahmed Hafiane, Fares Landoulsi, Malek Ben Saad, and Ala Edine Yacoubi
 
Eqlae Pictures LLC (Ihsen Kammoun) co-produced the film with Karabila Productions (Anis Kriaa). 
 
Also, 7 Palms Entertainment is managing international sales while MAD Solutions is managing distribution in the Arab world.
 
Born in 1984, in Sfax, Tunisia, Kammoun is a Tunisian American producer, director, and writer with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Linguistics. His first claim to fame was in 2009, when he sparked a music video production trend in the independent Tunisian music scene.
 
With life travels that allowed him to explore a richness of perspectives of human experiences, he eventually founded the motion picture production company EQLAE PICTURES in 2019. 
 
His work usually covers stories that inspire discovering the reason behind the differences between people to encourage them to exercise their humanity.
