THE ANGER receives positive feedback after screening in Jordan's Rainbow Theater

Marie Surae’s feature film THE ANGER was screened at the Rainbow Theater in Jordan on Wednesday, May 17th, receiving overwhelmingly positive comments from the audience who attended the presentation, whether via interacting with the film after or during its screening.
 
The Rainbow Art House Theater is an independent arts and entertainment venue that aims to feature a curated list of the best local, regional, and global films in a unique atmosphere right at the heart of Amman's artistic community.
 
THE ANGER is the recipient of several international awards, including two awards from the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival — Best Director of Photography for Tommaso Fiorilli and Best Film from the Cinema Critics Association. It also received the Best International Feature Fiction Award from the Lebanese Independent Film Festival. Additionally, the music video of the film participated in the Dublin International Short Film and Music Festival.
 
In post-war Lebanon, Ida, a young Lebanese girl, flees her small village and her alcoholic mother and goes to the big city. There, she starts dating a European man not knowing what is in store for her.
 
THE ANGER is written and directed by Maria Ivanova Surae, co-written by Olga Artemyeva, and stars Manal Issa, Aurélien Chaussade, Houssam Sabbah, and Julia Kassar. MAD Solutions manages the film’s distribution world.
