Ahmed Haddad’s AS FOR THE WEATHER to screen at Cairo Opera House’s Hanager Cinema

Following its remarkable success and recognition at the Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival, the feature film AS FOR THE WEATHER by Ahmed Haddad is set to captivate audiences once again at the prestigious Hanager Cinema in the Cairo Opera House on Monday, November 13th, at 6 pm as part of the esteemed Mediterranean Cinema Club.
The screening will be held in the presence of the director, Ahmed Haddad, and will be followed by an open discussion on the film and its themes.
Before winning the jury award at the Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival, the film was commercially released in Syrian cinemas.
In a captivating tale of personal transformation, AS FOR THE WEATHER centers around Hussien Shawqy — a man living in the shadow of his ex-wife, Mona. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when Souad — a spirited and vibrant young woman — storms into his world. Souad becomes the catalyst for breaking free from his self-imposed isolation and embracing the true essence of life.
Together, they embark on a remarkable journey in which they create a documentary that delves deep into the lives of three diverse women, unraveling their stories and shedding light on their experiences.
Written and directed by Ahmed Haddad, AS FOR THE WEATHER stars Kariman Hegazy, Hanan Youssef, director Hassan El-Geretly, and Dalia Ramzy, along with guest stars Riham Abdel-Ghafour and Tharaa Goubail, with MAD Solutions handling distribution in the Arab world.
Ahmed Haddad is an actor, director, screenplay writer, and poet born in 1984. His debut as an actor was as the character Tarek in the film SPARE TIMES. His career as a director took off in 2008 with ALL GIRLS LOVE CHOCOLATE, starring singer Anouchka.
Later, in 2013, he appeared in the series HOT WAVE before directing seven short movies, including REMOTE CONTROL, 1984, and SPIRIT BURNER.
AS FOR THE WEATHER is his debut feature.
