The Sudanese short film NOTHING HAPPENS AFTER THAT, directed by Ibrahim Omar, will make its Arab World Premiere at the 45th Cairo International Film Festival, and is set to compete in the festival's Short Film Competition. The festival runs from November 13th to the 22nd.
The film tells the heart wrenching story of a family, attempting to find a final resting place for their recently deceased and only child, highlighting the cruelty of indifference in times of hardship.
It had its world premiere at the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, where it won the Ministry of Culture and Science Jury Award.
NOTHING HAPPENS AFTER THAT was written, directed, and produced by Ibrahim Omar and Ahmed Bashari, in collaboration with the Sudan Film Institute; starring the director himself Ibrahim Omar, Amer Ahmed, Khaled Moeit, and Ahmed Bashari; having been lensed by Tarek Abdullah, and edited by Amer Ahmed and Khaled Moeit.
